This blog is a platform for me to share information on Yoga and meditation (or zazen and ‘practice-realisation’ to use both the Zen, and my more personal terminology). I study and practice these techniques, and I also teach. This site is a work in progress, as are my teaching and writing. I am gradually working to edit the material here so it is more accessible, and to order it so it is easier to find information. I take a no-nonsense approach, pragmatic, agnostic approach to Yoga and meditation. At their best, they offer practical and accessible means to taking responsibility, not just for our own health and well-being, but for the way we relate to all the systems, human and non-human, that we depend on.
The information on this site is one aspect of the PhD research work I did up until last year. I am now working on finding a home for my post-doctoral research project, and I will include updates on that work here, as and when I manage to make progress.
I trained with the YTTC in 2000-2002, have done extensive further training, and am currently affiliated to YTI (Yoga Therapy Ireland).
